NimbleTrack-E Gen2
NimbleTrack Gen2 is Scanology’s brand-new wireless optical 3D scanning system that combines non-target scanning, accurate measurements, and portability. It offers high efficiency and adaptability for parts of various sizes. Even complex surfaces and fine details are scanned quickly and accurately, making NimbleTrack Gen2 a real productivity booster for industrial inspections.
The NimbleTrack Gen2 tracker offers a tracking distance of 4.2 m, making it ideal for accurately scanning small to medium-sized objects (without markers).
NimbleTrack-E Gen2
The NimbleTrack Gen2 features an innovative dual-mode system that combines optical 3D scanning with handheld wide-area scanning, allowing it to be used flexibly for a variety of measurement needs.
Thanks to its integrated laser projection, the tracker can be used as a handheld 3D scanner to capture point clouds. This mode increases the range and flexibility of scanning, ideal for measuring large parts with high precision.
The system also uses adaptive photogrammetry technology, which ensures exceptional accuracy for both long and short measuring distances. It eliminates cumulative errors and ensures consistent volumetric accuracy.
Equipped with powerful batteries and advanced edge computing, both the 3D scanner and tracker support wireless measurements and stable, fast data transfer anytime, anywhere. Whether you’re scanning outdoors, in areas with limited power supply, on extra-large parts, or in small spaces, it ensures seamless, accurate, and efficient 3D measurements.
TrackScan Sharp-S
The TrackScan Sharp optical 3D scanning system is specially designed for measuring large parts over long distances at high speed. It takes optical measurements to the next level by offering a tracking distance of up to 8.5 meters and a highly accurate measurement range of 135 m³, enabling powerful measurement experiences.
TrackScan Sharp utilizes a dynamic adaptive LED algorithm and a large depth of field. This allows users to effortlessly tackle a wide range of challenges, including measuring large-scale parts in aerospace, energy, and heavy industry.
TrackScan Sharp-S
The robust design of the 3D scanner ensures stable performance and is insensitive to thermal variations, guaranteeing highly accurate measurements. Thanks to its integrated structure, users can grip the device from any direction, allowing them to handle and position it freely.
The system’s fine scan mode allows it to scan a large area while quickly generating point clouds. This feature offers exceptional efficiency in capturing details, allowing users to capture intricate details such as grooves and corners with high precision and speed. As a result, parts are accurately rendered in 3D, ensuring accurate and comprehensive digital models.

Frequently asked questions about
Tracking 3D Scanners
What are tracking 3D scanners?
Tracking 3D scanners are professional optical measurement systems designed for scanning large and complex parts. Unlike handheld 3D scanners, they work with a separate tracker that follows the position of the scanner over large distances. This allows you to measure accurately without markers or reference points, with a measurement range of up to 135 m³. As a Scanology official reseller, we offer the NimbleTrack and TrackScan systems.
What is the difference between the NimbleTrack and the TrackScan?
The NimbleTrack-E Gen2 is a wireless system with a tracking distance of 4.2 meters, ideal for small to medium-sized objects. It features an innovative dual-mode system that combines optical 3D scanning with handheld wide-area scanning. The TrackScan Sharp-S is designed for large objects over long distances: up to 8.5 meters tracking distance and a measurement range of 135 m³. It is particularly suitable for applications in aerospace, energy, and heavy industry.
What applications are tracking scanners suitable for?
Tracking 3D scanners are used for quality inspection, product development, reverse engineering, and 3D printing of large parts. Think of car bodies, aircraft parts, wind turbine blades, ship parts, large molds, and industrial rolling stock. Anywhere large objects need to be accurately digitized.
Is marker-less scanning possible?
Yes. Our tracking scanners enable accurate 3D measurements without the need to apply markers or reference points to the object. This saves preparation time and is ideal for parts that cannot be stickered.
What accuracy do tracking scanners achieve?
The tracking scanners offer high metrological accuracy, even over large distances. The NimbleTrack-E Gen2 uses adaptive photogrammetry to eliminate cumulative errors and guarantee consistent accuracy at both short and long measurement distances. The TrackScan Sharp-S is insensitive to thermal variations, ensuring stable performance in changing environments.
Are the tracking scanners wireless?
Both tracking systems are fully wireless: both the scanner and the tracker are equipped with powerful batteries and advanced edge computing for stable, fast data transfer. This makes them deployable in locations with a less clean environment or even in outdoor environments and reduces the risk of dropping the scanner or tracker.
Does TetraVision also offer advice and demos?
Yes. We help you select the scanning system that best suits your measurement requirements. Depending on the size of your objects, your work environment, and your accuracy requirements, we advise the right model. A no-obligation demo with your own parts is always possible. Contact us for personal advice.
Do you also supply software and support with the scanners?
Yes. The purchase of a scanner includes the Scanology DefinSight and DefinSight Mobile software as standard. Additionally, we also offer reverse engineering software such as Geomagic Design X and QuickSurface. As a ZEISS Certified Partner, we also help with setting up ZEISS Inspect analysis programs and automation of your measurement workflow. Do you already have software and are you only looking for a 3D scanning service? We can certainly help with that in our lab or on location.
