SIMSCAN-E
The SIMSCAN-E is an intelligent, wireless 3D handheld scanner with a compact, lightweight design that can be used with one hand. It combines advanced edge computing with wireless data transmission for flexible and efficient 3D scanning.
Thanks to robust algorithms, industrial cameras, and various scanning modes (such as ultra-fast, hyper-fine, and deep hole), the SIMSCAN-E delivers high measurement accuracy and speed, with a measurement capacity of up to millions of points per second and an accuracy of approximately 0.020 mm. The scanner is designed for use in a variety of environments, ranging from confined spaces to complex structures, and supports continuous operation with dual batteries and free wireless deployment.
KSCAN-E
The KSCAN-E is also a powerful, wireless 3D handheld scanner designed for fast and accurate metrological measurements of medium to large objects. Thanks to its ergonomic, robust design and fully wireless operation, the scanner can be used flexibly in a wide range of industrial environments, both in the workshop and on the move.
The KSCAN-E combines edge computing with high scanning speeds and multiple scanning modes, including large-scale scanning and high-resolution measurements. This allows the scanner to efficiently capture large surfaces without compromising accuracy. With a measurement accuracy of up to approximately 0.020 mm, the KSCAN-E is suitable for applications such as quality control, inspection, reverse engineering, and product validation in sectors such as manufacturing, mechanical engineering, and engineering.

Frequently asked questions about
Handheld 3D Scanners
Which handheld 3D scanners does TetraVision offer?
As a Scanology official reseller, we offer two professional handheld 3D scanners: the SIMSCAN-E and the KSCAN-E. Both are wireless, compact, and designed for industrial metrology. The SIMSCAN-E is the most compact and can scan in tight spaces where no other scanner can reach. The KSCAN-E is more versatile with different measurement volumes and designed for medium to large objects. Both scanners achieve a measurement accuracy of approximately 0.020 mm.
What is the difference between the SIMSCAN-E and the KSCAN-E?
The SIMSCAN-E is the most compact scanner: lightweight, lower cost, and ideal for tight spaces and complex structures. It offers different scanning modes including ultra-fast, hyperfine, and deep hole. The KSCAN-E is more versatile with its different measurement volumes and designed for scanning medium to large objects. It combines large-scale scanning with smaller, high-resolution measurements. Both scanners are fully wireless and achieve an accuracy of approximately 0.020 mm.
What applications are handheld 3D scanners suitable for?
Our handheld scanners are used for various professional applications, including quality inspection, inspection, reverse engineering, and product validation. They are suitable for sectors such as manufacturing, mechanical engineering, automotive, and engineering. Thanks to their portability, you can use them both in the workshop and on location.
Are the scanners fully wireless?
Yes. Both the SIMSCAN-E and the KSCAN-E operate fully wireless thanks to built-in edge computing and wireless data transmission. They both support continuous operation with dual batteries, so you can continue working without interruption.
What accuracy do the handheld scanners achieve?
Both scanners achieve a measurement accuracy of approximately 0.020 mm. This makes them suitable for metrological applications where high precision is required. For more information about measurement accuracy and how we ensure it, visit our accreditation page.
Does TetraVision also offer advice on choosing a scanner?
Absolutely. We help you select the scanner that best suits your measurement requirements. Depending on the size of your objects, the desired accuracy, and your work environment, we advise the right model. We also offer a no-obligation demo so you can test the scanner with your own parts.
Do you also supply software with the scanners?
Yes. When purchasing a scanner, we also offer suitable software, including reverse engineering software such as Geomagic Design X and QuickSurface. Additionally, as a ZEISS Certified Partner, we can provide support in setting up ZEISS Inspect analysis programs and automation of your measurement workflow.
What if I need a scanner for larger objects?
For larger and complex objects, we also offer tracking 3D scanners, such as the NimbleTrack and TrackScan. These systems offer a much larger measurement range (up to 135 m³) and are ideal for large-scale industrial metrology. Contact us for advice on the right system for your application.
