- Clamping the coin in a holder with reference points on the holder.
- Spray the coin with water-based anti-reflection spray.

- GOM Atos III Triple scan with a 38MV (measuring volume).
- Automated tilt and swivel unit in combination with a lift for the scanner
Post-processing
- Alignment of the scan.
