The TetraVision team digitized a 2 Euro coin.
The scan is categorized under small objects scanning and is very detailed.
Process: step by step
Process
- Clamping the coin in a holder with reference points on the holder.
- Spray the coin with water-based anti-reflection spray.
- Digitizing the coin
Technology
- GOM Atos III Triple scan with a 60MV (measuring volume)
- Automated tilt and swivel unit combined with an elevator for the scanner
Post-processing
- We only needed to close very few holes and then of course the ones where the needles of the fixture touched the coin.
